Our collecting journey began in October 1971. The initial spark came from the discovery of old *Stadión* magazines inside a box of vintage periodicals in the attic of our house in Brtná, near Želiv. Our primary focus was building a sports archive, which was later complemented by a collection of autographs and sports cards. We have pursued this wonderful hobby—which has gradually evolved into a way of life—for two generations, as father and son. Our collections have not remained tucked away in a drawer. We have organized four exhibitions centered on the NHL, Czech hockey players in European leagues, and the history of European football cups. Visitors had the opportunity to view sports cards, memorabilia, photographs, and archival publications. This lifelong passion has also shaped our professional lives, as both our education and careers have led us into the fields of physical education, sports, and history.
